Tommy Kay is a Weekend Personality on WPFF. He is a life-long Michigander who has lived in both peninsulas. Tommy grew up in Okemos, located just outside of East Lansing, and now resides in Escanaba. He loves just about all Michigan sports teams—from the Lions and Tigers to the Pistons, Redwings, and Spartans.
Tommy and his wife, Kim, have been married for 15 years and have three children—Hannah (15), Mary (13), and Spencer (7). The love of radio by both Tommy and Kim was the starting point to their beautiful relationship—and a bright future.
“God gave me the passion for radio many, many years ago. Then He brought my wife Kim into my life. She called in and requested a song one night at a different station I was working for. Almost 20 years later, here we still are—and with an awesome family,” Tommy said.
God wasn’t finished with him just yet. Kim has been a longtime listener to WPFF, and she got Tommy hooked on the music and programming, too. “I wanted to become more involved with the station somehow and an opportunity became available,” Tommy said. “After more than 20 years in radio, I am where I am supposed to be.”
God lead Tommy to WPFF—a Christian radio station, where he can enjoy all his passions—his family, a radio career, and God. “Talk about having your cake and eating it too,” Tommy said.
